Walking
Start at the Kohima War Cemetery, which is a well-known landmark in Kohima. From the cemetery, head southeast on the road towards the main city. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with the National Highway 2. Turn right onto National Highway 2 and walk straight for about 1 kilometer. You will pass several small shops and local eateries along the way, which could be a good place to grab a quick snack. Keep walking until you reach a junction where you see a sign for the district administration office. Continue straight on this road, which will lead you towards the area of Khechie. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will notice a small path on your left marked by local signs directing you to Khechie (Sachunuomia Badze). Take this left and follow the path for about 500 meters until you arrive at the site.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Kohima. Begin your journey at the Kohima Local Ground. From there, cycle towards the National Highway 2. This route is approximately 2 kilometers. Once you reach the highway, turn left and cycle for about 1 kilometer. You will pass local shops and scenic views of the hills. After about 1 kilometer, look for a junction with a sign for the district administration office, and turn right. Continue on this road for another 2 kilometers, and then look for a path on your right that leads to Khechie (Sachunuomia Badze). Follow this path for about 500 meters, and you will reach your destination.
Public Transport
For those opting to use public transport, head to the nearest bus stand in Kohima. Look for a local bus or shared taxi heading towards the district administration office. The fare is minimal, and the bus ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Once you reach the district administration office, alight and walk straight for about 1 kilometer until you find a small path on your left leading to Khechie (Sachunuomia Badze). This path is marked with local signs for easier navigation.
