Walking
If you are starting from Kohima's main market area (Kohima Local Bazaar), head southeast towards the main road (NH 29). Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction near the District Court. From there, take a left onto Chandmari Road. Continue down Chandmari Road for approximately 500 meters. The East Gate Hotel will be on your right, opposite the 2nd World War Cemetery.
Auto-rickshaw
From the Kohima Local Bazaar, you can hire an auto-rickshaw. Tell the driver you want to go to The East Gate Hotel, located on Chandmari Road, opposite the 2nd World War Cemetery. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the hotel will be visible on your right side.
Public Transport
Board a local bus heading towards Chandmari. Ask the conductor to drop you off at the 2nd World War Cemetery stop. After disembarking, walk back a short distance on Chandmari Road, and The East Gate Hotel will be on your left. This journey may take around 20-30 minutes depending on the bus schedule.
