If you are starting from central Kolkata, take a bus from Esplanade to Howrah. Look for buses heading towards Howrah Station. The bus ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you reach Howrah Station, exit and look for the Howrah Bridge, cross the bridge on foot. After crossing, you will find Belur Math Road on your left. Walk straight for about 15 minutes, and you will reach Belur Math.
Metro and Walk
From Park Street metro station, take the Metro Line towards Kavi Subhash. Change at the Dumdum metro station to the North-South corridor and get off at Howrah. After exiting the metro station, take a local bus or rickshaw to Belur Math. It is about a 15-minute journey from the Howrah Station area. You can also walk from the station; it’s roughly a 30-minute walk along the riverfront.
Auto Rickshaw
You can hire an auto rickshaw from any point in Kolkata. Just tell the driver 'Belur Math', and they will take you directly. The journey will take around 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand or ask for the meter to be used.
Cycle Rickshaw
If you are in the Howrah area, you can hire a cycle rickshaw to take you to Belur Math. This is a more scenic and leisurely way to travel. Just ask the rickshaw puller for Belur Math, and enjoy the ride, which may take around 20-30 minutes.
