Walking
If you are near the Esplanade area, start at the Esplanade Metro Station. Exit the station and head south on Jawaharlal Nehru Road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with B.B.D. Bagh Road. Turn left onto B.B.D. Bagh Road and walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Laldighi. From there, turn right onto the street leading to Barabazar Market. Keep walking straight through the market area, and after a few minutes, you will see Synagogue Street on your left. The Maghen David Synagogue is located at 19, Synagogue St.
Metro and Walking
If you are starting from the Howrah Station, take a taxi or an auto-rickshaw to the Mahatma Gandhi Road Metro Station. From there, take the Metro towards Kavi Subhash and get off at the Esplanade Station. Once you exit the station, follow the earlier walking instructions from the Esplanade area to Maghen David Synagogue.
Auto-Rickshaw
If you are at Park Street, you can take an auto-rickshaw directly to Maghen David Synagogue. Inform the driver to take you to 19, Synagogue St, China Bazar, Barabazar Market. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. The rickshaw will drop you off near the entrance to the street. From there, walk a short distance to reach the synagogue.
Bus
You can catch a bus from various parts of the city to Barabazar. Look for buses heading towards Chitpur or Central Avenue. Get down at the Barabazar stop. Once you disembark, walk into the market area and head towards Synagogue Street. The Maghen David Synagogue will be on your left at 19, Synagogue St.
