Getting There

Walking
From the main market area in Leh, head towards the Leh Palace. Continue walking past the palace towards the Namgyal Tsemo Monastery, which is situated on a hill. Once you reach the monastery, continue down the road towards Spituk. As you walk, follow the signs pointing towards Spituk and keep an eye out for the Spituk Monastery. After approximately 3 km, you will reach a fork in the road; take the left path leading towards Samburma Road. Continue walking for another 1 km until you arrive at the Spituk marshes. The marshes are located just off Samburma Road, and you should be able to see them from the road.

Biking
If you prefer to bike, rent a bicycle from one of the shops in Leh. Start your journey from the main market area, cycling towards the Leh Palace. From the palace, pedal towards the Namgyal Tsemo Monastery. Continue straight until you reach the fork in the road, and take the left path towards Samburma Road. Follow this road for about 4 km. The Spituk marshes will be on your right side, easily visible from the road.

For a more adventurous route, consider hiking from Leh to Spituk marshes. Begin your hike from the Leh market and head towards Leh Palace.
