Car
If you're traveling by car from the main market area of Mahabaleshwar, head towards Panchgani-Mahabaleshwar Road (also known as the main road). Follow the signs for Panchgani and continue for about 3.5 kilometers. You will see the Venna Check Dam on your right side, just after the turning for Venna Lake. It’s a prominent spot, so parking should be available nearby.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a local auto-rickshaw or taxi from the Mahabaleshwar market area. Inform the driver that you want to go to Venna Check Dam. The fare should be around ₹100 to ₹150 depending on your starting point. The drive will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Make sure to confirm the return fare with the driver, or ask them to wait for you.
Walking
If you're staying close to the Venna Lake area, you can walk to Venna Check Dam. From Venna Lake, head towards Panchgani-Mahabaleshwar Road. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk of around 1 kilometer. Simply follow the road signs, and you will reach the dam. Be cautious of the traffic as you walk along the road.
