If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya. Drive towards Mawphlang by taking the NH6 highway. The distance is approximately 25 kilometers, which will take about 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on traffic. Once you reach Mawphlang, follow the local signs to the Mawphlang View Point, located at CPWR+4GP, Synrang Kaban. There is a parking area available near the viewpoint.
Public Transportation (Taxi or Shared Cab)
From Shillong, you can take a taxi or a shared cab to Mawphlang. Shared cabs are available at the taxi stand near Police Bazar. The fare is usually around INR 300-400 per person. If you are already in Mawphlang village and wish to walk to Mawphlang View Point, it is a scenic trek of about 2 kilometers. Follow the path that leads up the hill towards the viewpoint. Ensure you have comfortable walking shoes, as the trail may be uneven.
