Car
If you're driving from Shillong, head south on NH6 towards the town of Mawphlang. The distance is approximately 25 kilometers. As you approach Mawphlang, keep an eye out for the signposts directing you to the Mawphlang Sacred Forest. Turn right onto the road leading into the forest area. There is parking available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Mawphlang Sacred Forest via public transport, start at the Shillong Bus Station. Look for a local shared taxi or a bus heading towards Mawphlang. The ride will take around 1 hour and cost approximately 50-100 INR. Inform the driver that you wish to visit the Mawphlang Sacred Forest, and they will drop you off near the entrance. From there, it's a short walk to the forest.
