Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey from Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya. Take the NH6 towards Cherrapunji (Sohra). The distance is approximately 54 km and will take around 2 hours. Follow the signs to Cherrapunji, and once you reach the town, look for Mawsmai Cave Road, which is well-marked. Continue on Mawsmai Cave Road for about 3 km until you reach the Mawsmai Monoliths, which will be on your left. Parking is available nearby.

Public Transportation
From Shillong, you can take a shared taxi or bus to Cherrapunji. Shared taxis frequently depart from the Police Bazaar area of Shillong, and the fare is around INR 150-200 per person. The journey takes approximately 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Cherrapunji, you can hire a local taxi to take you to the Mawsmai Monoliths, which is about 3 km away. The taxi fare should be negotiated beforehand, typically around INR 300-400 for a round trip.

If you are already in Cherrapunji and prefer walking, you can walk to the Mawsmai Monoliths from the main market area. It is a distance of about 3 km and will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Follow Mawsmai Cave Road, which is a scenic route. Ensure to wear comfortable shoes and carry some water, as the path can be steep in some areas.
