Car
If you're traveling by car, head to Cherrapunji, which is approximately 54 kilometers from Shillong. You can take the NH6 highway, and then follow the road signs towards Cherrapunji. Once in Cherrapunji, navigate to the coordinates 25.2916875, 91.6782656 or use the address 7MRH+M8C, Cherrapunji, Meghalaya 793108 for GPS. Parking is available near the trekking point to the falls.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Shillong, you can take a shared taxi or bus to Cherrapunji. These usually depart from the Police Bazar area in Shillong. The journey takes about 2-3 hours. Upon reaching Cherrapunji, you may need to hire a local taxi to take you to Wei Sawdong Falls. Make sure to agree on a fare beforehand. The local taxi should charge around INR 500-800 for a round trip.
Trekking
Once you reach the drop-off point near Wei Sawdong Falls (coordinates 25.2916875, 91.6782656), be prepared for a short trek to the falls. The path can be steep and may require proper footwear. It is advisable to carry water and snacks as there are no facilities along the trail. The trek usually takes about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on your pace.
