Getting there

Car

If you are driving from Aizawl, take the NH6 towards Lunglei. Continue on this road for approximately 150 km until you reach Buangpui. The falls are located near the highway at the coordinates 23.2369, 92.7491. There is no specific parking lot, but you can park your vehicle along the roadside. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Tuirihiau Falls.

Public Transportation (Bus)

From Aizawl, board a bus heading towards Lunglei at the Aizawl Bus Station. The journey takes about 4-5 hours. You can inform the bus conductor that you want to get off at Buangpui. Once you arrive in Buangpui, you may need to hire a local taxi or auto-rickshaw to reach the falls, which is about 5 km from the bus stop. The fare for the taxi should be around ₹200-₹300.

Local Taxi

If you prefer to hire a taxi from Aizawl directly, you can negotiate a fare with local drivers. A round trip to Tuirihiau Falls from Aizawl should cost around ₹2000-₹3000 depending on negotiation. The driver will take you directly to the falls and wait for you to return.

Walking

If you're already in Buangpui, you can walk to Tuirihiau Falls. The distance is approximately 5 km from the town center. It will take about 1-1.5 hours to walk, and you will enjoy scenic views along the way. Make sure to carry water and wear comfortable shoes.
