I had the privilege of experiencing Mumbai through an LGBTQ-friendly city tour with Rahil Khan — and I can say without hesitation that this was one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had while traveling. He is a phenomenal ally to the LGBTQ+ community and carries himself with kindness, openness, and care that immediately puts people at ease. It honestly felt like we had been friends for years from the moment we met. There are some people you encounter while traveling who leave a permanent imprint on your heart. Rahil is one of those people. I know without question that when I return to Mumbai, I will reach out to him again. Not simply because he was an incredible guide — but because he is a beautiful soul and someone whose presence made this enormous city feel human, warm, and welcoming. Do yourself a favor and book with someone who will not only show you a city, but who will truly see your humanity and recognize you in your fullness. Rahil is a gift, and spending a day exploring Mumbai with him was one of the greatest gifts of my journey.
