Train
If you are near a train station, take a local train to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CST), which is one of the closest major stations to Kala Ghoda. Once you arrive at CST, exit the station and head towards the East on Lokmanya Tilak Road. Follow the road as it curves to the right and leads you directly to Fort. Continue straight until you reach Kala Ghoda, which is marked by its famous art district and cultural atmosphere.
Bus
You can catch a BEST bus heading towards Fort. Look for buses with routes like 123, 135, or 151 that have 'Fort' as a stop. Board the bus and pay the fare when you enter. Once you reach the 'Fort' bus stop, disembark and you will be close to Kala Ghoda. Walk a few minutes towards the Kala Ghoda area, which is known for its art galleries and vibrant street life.
Auto-rickshaw
Find an auto-rickshaw stand or hail one on the street. Tell the driver 'Kala Ghoda' or 'Fort'. The fare will vary, but make sure to negotiate or ask for the meter to be used. The driver will take you directly to Kala Ghoda. It's a short ride, and you’ll be dropped off near the art precinct where you can explore the area.
Walking
If you are already in the Fort area, you can simply walk to Kala Ghoda. From the Fort area, head towards Mahatma Gandhi Road and walk straight until you reach the Kala Ghoda intersection. This area is pedestrian-friendly and filled with art installations and galleries that make for an enjoyable walk.
Metro
Take the Mumbai Metro Line 1 to Azad Nagar station. From Azad Nagar, you can take a rickshaw or a local bus to Fort. Alternatively, walk to the closest main road and catch a bus heading towards Fort. Once you arrive, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Kala Ghoda.
