Car
From Munnar, take the NH 85 (National Highway 85) towards Kothamangalam. After approximately 25 kilometers, you will reach the fork at Kothamangalam. Keep right to continue on the Pooyamkutty - Mankulam Road (also known as the Thattekad Road). Drive for another 16 kilometers until you arrive at the Thattekad Bird Sanctuary. The sanctuary is located at the address Kothamangalam, Nyayapally PO, Pooyamkutty - Mankulam Rd, Thattekad, Kerala 686681. Ensure to follow the signboards along the route for easy navigation.

From Munnar, head to the main bus station and board a bus to Kothamangalam. The journey takes about 1 hour and costs around INR 50-100.
