From the Mysore Palace, head southeast on Sayyaji Rao Road towards D. Devaraja Urs Road. Continue straight until you reach the junction at Ashoka Road. Turn left onto Ashoka Road and walk towards the Chamundi Hill bus station. The bus station is approximately 1.5 km from the palace, and you will pass by several shops and eateries along the way.
Bus
At the Chamundi Hill bus station, catch a local bus heading to Chamundi Hill. Buses are frequent, and the journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at the Bhumayur Sunrise Point stop. The bus will take you along Ooty Road, and you will enjoy beautiful views during the ride.
Walk
Once you disembark at the Bhumayur Sunrise Point stop, walk a short distance along Ooty Road. Follow the signs directing you to the viewpoint. The area is well marked, and you will likely see other tourists heading to the same location. The walk should take approximately 5-10 minutes.
