Walking
From Mysore Palace, head east on Sayyaji Rao Road (also known as D. Devaraja Urs Road). Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with JLB Road. Take a left onto JLB Road and follow it until you reach the junction with Chamundi Hill Road. From there, you can either take a taxi or an auto-rickshaw to the base of Chamundi Hill.
Auto-rickshaw
If you're starting from the Mysore Zoo, you can hire an auto-rickshaw to take you directly to Chamundi Hill. Inform the driver that you want to go to Chamundibetta Sunset Point. It’s a popular destination, and they will know the route. The ride should take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
Public Bus
From the Mysore City Bus Stand, take a bus heading towards Chamundi Hill. Look for buses labeled 'Chamundi Hill' or check the bus schedule for the next departure. Once you arrive at the Chamundi Hill bus stop, it's a short walk to the Chamundibetta Sunset Point, following the path that leads up the hill.
Hiking
For the adventurous, start your hike from the base of Chamundi Hill. You can begin at the Chamundi Hill Steps, which are located near the Chamundi Hill Temple. The steps lead you up the hill; follow them for about 1 kilometer until you reach the top. From the temple, you can walk a little further to reach the Sunset Point, where you can enjoy breathtaking views.
