Walking
If you are starting from the Mysore Zoo, exit the zoo and head southwest towards the main road (KRS Road). Continue walking straight for about 1.2 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Sayyaji Rao Road. Turn right onto Sayyaji Rao Road and continue for another 1 kilometer. You will see the entrance of Mysore Palace on your left. Walk through the entrance and head towards the main building where the Darbar Hall is located inside the palace.
Auto-rickshaw
Find an auto-rickshaw stand near your current location or hail one on the street. Tell the driver that you want to go to Mysore Palace, specifically to the Darbar Hall. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the palace. The ride should take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.
Public Bus
Locate the nearest bus stop and check for buses heading to the Mysore Palace area. Board a bus that has 'Palace' in its destination. Buses are frequent and will take you close to the palace. Once you get off, head towards the entrance of Mysore Palace, which is well-marked. Walk towards the main building where the Darbar Hall is located.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer a more active mode of transport, consider renting a bicycle. There are several rental shops around Mysore. Once you have your bicycle, head towards the Mysore Palace. Follow the main roads (KRS Road and Sayyaji Rao Road) to reach the palace. It should take you about 20-30 minutes to cycle there.
