If you are in the central area of Mysore, you can easily reach The Amba Vilas Palace by walking. Start from the Mysore Zoo, which is a well-known landmark. Exit the zoo and head south on Karanji Lake Road. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Sayyaji Rao Road. Turn left onto Sayyaji Rao Road and continue walking for another kilometer. You will see the majestic Mysore Palace on your right side. The entrance is marked and easily accessible.
Auto Rickshaw
Find a nearby auto rickshaw stand or hail one on the street. Inform the driver that you want to go to 'Mysore Palace' or 'Amba Vilas Palace'. The ride should take about 10-20 minutes depending on traffic. Most auto rickshaws have a meter, but it’s a good idea to negotiate the fare beforehand if the meter is not used. The driver will drop you off at the main entrance of the palace.

Head towards the city center and follow the route from the Mysore Zoo as mentioned in the walking directions.
