If you are traveling by car, start from Kohima, the capital of Nagaland. Take the National Highway 29 (NH29) towards Dimapur. Continue on NH29 for about 35 km until you reach the Chozuba junction. Turn left onto the road that leads to Chozuba and drive for about 15 km. The Resting Shed is located in Chozuba, indicated by the location coordinates: 25.7322° N, 94.3263° E. There is no entry fee to access the Resting Shed.
Public Transportation
To reach Resting Shed via public transportation, take a bus from Kohima towards Dimapur. Buses are available at regular intervals and the fare is approximately ₹100. Get off at the Chozuba junction, which is about 35 km from Kohima. From the junction, you can hire a local taxi to the Resting Shed for around ₹300-₹400. The taxi ride will take about 20 minutes to cover the remaining 15 km.
Local Taxi
For those who prefer a direct route, hiring a local taxi from Kohima is a convenient option. You can negotiate a fare of around ₹800-₹1000 for a one-way trip to Resting Shed. The journey will take approximately 50 minutes, and the driver will take you directly to the location in Chozuba.
