Car
If you are driving from Kohima, take the NH 29 towards Dimapur. Continue on NH 29 until you reach the intersection at Chümoukedima. From there, take the road towards Niuland and follow the signs towards Yaongyimchen Village. The drive will take approximately 3 to 4 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Upon reaching Yaong, follow local signs to GP7F+VX3, the location of the village.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Kohima, head to the local bus station and take a bus heading towards Dimapur or Niuland. Buses are frequent and the fare is usually around ₹150-₹200. Once you reach Niuland, you can hire a local taxi or auto-rickshaw to Yaongyimchen Village. The taxi fare from Niuland to Yaongyimchen will be approximately ₹500-₹700. Ensure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
Shared Taxi
You can also opt for a shared taxi from Kohima to Dimapur, which would cost around ₹200-₹300 per person. Upon reaching Dimapur, locate a taxi that goes to Yaongyimchen Village. This option is cost-effective and provides locals' insights about your destination. The total journey may take around 4 to 5 hours.
