If you are traveling by car, head towards Gaurisagar Tank from major cities like Guwahati or Jorhat. From Guwahati, take National Highway 37 (NH37) towards Jorhat. The distance is approximately 320 km and can take around 7-8 hours depending on traffic conditions. Once in Jorhat, continue on the NH 37 heading south until you reach the town of Gaurisagar. From Jorhat, it is about 30 km and takes roughly 45 minutes. Follow the signs towards Gaurisagar Tank, which is located at latitude 26.946757 and longitude 94.534642.
Public Transportation
To reach Gaurisagar Tank using public transportation, you can take a bus from Guwahati to Jorhat. The journey will take around 8-10 hours. Buses are available from the Guwahati Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT). Upon arrival in Jorhat, you can take a local taxi or an auto-rickshaw to Gaurisagar, which is about 30 km away.
