Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Shillong, the nearest major city. Take the NH6 highway heading towards Guwahati. After about 50 kilometers, take the exit for NH206 towards Cherrapunji. Continue on NH206 for approximately 55 kilometers until you reach Cherrapunji. Once in Cherrapunji, follow the signs directing you to Seven Sisters Waterfall, which is about 3 kilometers from the town center. The roads are well-maintained but can be steep and winding, so drive carefully.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Shillong to Cherrapunji. Buses leave from the Shillong Bus Station and the journey takes around 2-3 hours, costing approximately INR 100-200. Once in Cherrapunji, you can hire a local taxi or a shared cab to reach Seven Sisters Waterfall, which is about 3 kilometers away. The taxi ride should cost around INR 200-300.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from Cherrapunji to Seven Sisters Waterfall, you can do so in about 45 minutes. From the town center, head towards the waterfall following local signs.
