Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards Baripada, which is about 250 km from Bhubaneswar. Take NH16 from Bhubaneswar towards Balasore and then take NH18 towards Baripada. Once you reach Baripada town, follow the signs towards Similipal National Park. The distance from Baripada to the park entrance is approximately 25 km. Ensure you have a map or GPS navigation as the roads can be narrow and winding.

• Public Bus

  From Bhubaneswar, you can take a government or private bus to Baripada. Buses to Baripada leave from the Bhubaneswar bus terminal regularly. The journey takes around 5-6 hours and costs approximately INR 200-300. Once in Baripada, you can hire a taxi or an auto-rickshaw to reach the park entrance, which is about 25 km away. Taxi fares may vary, but expect to pay around INR 600-800.

• Train

  Take a train from Bhubaneswar to Baripada. The nearest railway station is Baripada, which is well-connected. The train journey takes about 4-5 hours. Once you arrive at Baripada railway station, you can take an auto-rickshaw or taxi to Similipal National Park, which is about 25 km away. Auto-rickshaw fares can range from INR 300-400, while a taxi will cost around INR 600-800.
