Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Panaji Bus Stand, head east on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Road towards the Municipal Garden. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with the Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception. From here, take a left onto the Rua de Ourem and walk for about 15 minutes until you reach the Mandovi River. Cross the river using the bridge and follow the signs towards Old Goa. Once you reach the Old Goa area, keep an eye out for the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, which is located off National Highway 4. The church is approximately 5 minutes away from the main road, so you may need to ask locals for specific directions.

• Public Transport

  From the Panaji Bus Stand, you can take a local bus heading towards Old Goa. The bus will drop you off near the Church of St. Cajetan. From there, you will need to walk about 10 minutes towards the Church of St. Francis of Assisi by following the signs or asking locals for directions. The path is straightforward and mostly flat.

• Bicycle

  You can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops near the Panaji Bus Stand. Once you have a bike, head towards the Mandovi River and follow the riverbank road towards Old Goa. Keep cycling straight for about 20-25 minutes, and you will reach the outskirts of Old Goa. Look for the signs directing you to the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, which is just off National Highway 4.
