Bus
From the city center of Panaji, head to the nearest bus station, which is located near the Kadamba Bus Stand. Look for buses heading towards 'Velsao' or 'Dona Paula'. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you reach Velsao, disembark at the Velsao bus stop, and from there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Velsao Beach. Head east on the main road, and follow the signs to the beach.
Auto-Rickshaw
You can take an auto-rickshaw from anywhere in Panaji. Simply ask the driver to take you to Velsao Beach. The ride will take around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey. Once you arrive at Velsao Beach, the driver will drop you off right at the entrance.
Walking
If you are staying in a central area of Panaji and prefer to walk, you can explore the scenic routes by walking towards the Mandovi River. From there, head towards the Dona Paula viewpoint. Follow the path alongside the river, which will eventually lead to the coastal road. Continue along the coast towards Velsao Beach. This route will take approximately 2-3 hours, so ensure you wear comfortable shoes and carry water.
