If you're in Auroville, renting a bicycle is a popular and eco-friendly option to reach Kala Kendra. Start from the Visitor Center located near the main entrance of Auroville. Head south on the main road, Auroville Road, for about 1 km. You will reach a T-junction; take a left turn onto 1st Cross Road. Continue straight for another 500 meters until you see the sign for Kala Kendra on your right. The total distance is approximately 1.5 km, and it should take about 10-15 minutes to cycle there.

For those who prefer to walk, you can easily reach Kala Kendra on foot. Starting from the Visitor Center, walk south along Auroville Road for about 1 km. When you reach the T-junction, turn left onto 1st Cross Road. Continue straight for another 500 meters until you spot the Kala Kendra sign on your right. The walk will take approximately 20-25 minutes.

Rickshaw
If you'd like to use a rickshaw, you can find them at various points within Auroville. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Kala Kendra. The ride from the Visitor Center should cost around 50-100 INR, depending on the time of day and negotiation skills. It should take about 10 minutes to reach your destination, considering the local traffic.

Auroville offers an eco-friendly electric shuttle service that connects various points within the community. Check the schedule at the Visitor Center, as shuttles run at regular intervals. You can board a shuttle heading towards the Auroville community center, and ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Kala Kendra. The fare is usually around 20 INR.
