Getting there

Walking

From the Promenade Beach, head east towards the main road (Beach Road). Continue walking along Beach Road until you reach the intersection with Rue de la Marine. Turn left onto Rue de la Marine and walk straight for about 500 meters. You will see a sign for New Sand Beach on your right. The beach is located at WRHP+62X, White Town, Puducherry.

Bicycle Rental

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops near Promenade Beach. After renting a bike, ride east along Beach Road. Continue until you reach Rue de la Marine, then turn left. Cycle straight for about 500 meters, and you will find New Sand Beach on your right. Make sure to check the rental shop for rates, which typically range from ₹100 to ₹300 per hour.

Auto Rickshaw

For a quicker option, you can hire an auto rickshaw from Promenade Beach. Simply find one near the beach and tell the driver you want to go to New Sand Beach, located at WRHP+62X, White Town. The fare should be around ₹50 to ₹100 depending on the distance and time of day. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.

Local Bus

You can take a local bus from Promenade Beach to reach near New Sand Beach. Check the nearest bus stop along Beach Road. Look for buses heading towards White Town and board one. After approximately 10-15 minutes, get off at the nearest stop to WRHP+62X. From there, it’s a short walk of about 200 meters to the beach. The bus fare is generally around ₹10 to ₹20.
