If you are starting from Ranchi Railway Station, exit the station and head towards the main road. Walk straight for about 1.5 km until you reach the intersection with Main Road. Turn left onto Main Road and continue walking for another 2 km. You will pass through the busy areas of Ranchi and can stop at local shops for refreshments. Look for the signboards pointing towards Ranchi Hill. After 2 km, turn right onto Kumhartoli Road. Continue along this road for about 1 km, and you will see Ranchi Hill on your left. The total distance is approximately 4.5 km, which should take you around 1 hour to walk.
Public Transport (Auto-rickshaw)
From your location in Ranchi, find the nearest auto-rickshaw stand. Tell the driver you want to go to Ranchi Hill (you can also mention 'Kumhartoli' for clarity). The driver will take you through the city. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic, as it's around 3 km from the city center. You will pass through several shops and local attractions. Make sure to keep some change ready for the fare.

Locate the nearest bus stop that services routes to Kumhartoli. Board a bus that is heading towards Kumhartoli or Ranchi Hill.
