If you are starting from the Ranchi Railway Station, exit the station and head towards Circular Road. Take a left on Circular Road and walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Main Road. At this intersection, take a right onto Main Road and continue walking for another 800 meters. You will come across a large roundabout; take the third exit onto Lake Road. Continue straight on Lake Road for about 500 meters, and you will see Ranchi Lake on your left.
Auto-rickshaw
From any location in Ranchi, you can hire an auto-rickshaw to take you directly to Ranchi Lake. Simply tell the driver 'Lake Road, Upper Bazar.' The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the lake will be visible, and you can ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest entrance.
Public Bus
If you are near the bus terminal, you can take a local bus that goes towards Upper Bazar. Look for buses that have 'Upper Bazar' or 'Ranchi Lake' written on them. Once you get on the bus, inform the conductor that you want to get off at Lake Road. The bus ride will take approximately 25-30 minutes.
