Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the Shillong Police Bazaar, which is a central hub for taxis and local transport. Walk towards the main road (G.S. Road) and head west. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Laban area. You will pass various shops and eateries along the way. Once you reach the Laban Police Station, take a right onto the road leading to Lawsohtun. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the HV76+9RQ area in Lawsohtun. The Mahadev Khola Dham temple will be on your left, located in a serene setting surrounded by greenery.

  • Public Transport - Local Bus

    From the Shillong Police Bazaar, take a local bus heading towards Laban. The bus will drop you off at the Laban Police Station. From there, walk towards the Lawsohtun area as follows: turn right onto the road leading to Lawsohtun and continue straight for about 500 meters. Mahadev Khola Dham is located at HV76+9RQ, which will be on your left side as you approach the area. The temple is well-marked and easy to spot.

    From the Shillong Police Bazaar, hire a rickshaw and tell the driver to take you to Lawsohtun. Most drivers are familiar with the area. They will take you directly to the Lawsohtun area. Once you reach, ask to be dropped near the HV76+9RQ area. The Mahadev Khola Dham temple is in this vicinity, and you should be able to walk to it from where the rickshaw drops you off.
