Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in Mall Road, head towards the Lakkar Bazaar area. Walk straight along Mall Road until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Christ Church. From there, you will see a signpost directing you to The Ridge. Continue walking straight, and you will find yourself at The Ridge in about 10 minutes. The Ridge is an open space with beautiful views, and it is a popular gathering spot in Shimla.

    From the Shimla Railway Station, exit the station and walk towards the main road. Take a left on the main road and continue walking straight until you reach Mall Road. Once you are on Mall Road, follow the same instructions as above to reach The Ridge. This walk will take approximately 20 minutes.

    If you are coming from the famous Jakhoo Temple, exit the temple and follow the path down towards the main road. Once you reach the main road, turn right and keep walking until you join Mall Road. From there, follow the previous instructions to arrive at The Ridge. The total travel time will be around 30 minutes.

    If you are staying at the Oberoi Cecil Hotel, exit the hotel and walk downhill towards the Mall Road. Once you reach Mall Road, turn left and continue walking for about 10 minutes until you see the signs for The Ridge.
