    Walking

    From Summer Hill, head towards the main road, Shimla-Kalka Highway. Walk down towards the main entrance of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS), which is a prominent landmark. This will take you about 10-15 minutes on foot. Once you reach the IIAS, continue straight on the same road for approximately 500 meters. You will see a sign for the Himachal State Museum at the junction with Museum Road.

    Walking

    After passing the IIAS, take a left onto Museum Road. The Himachal State Museum is located further down this road, near the Doordarshan Kendra. It's a short 5-minute walk from the junction. Keep an eye out for the museum on your right side.

    Public Transport (Bus)

    If you prefer not to walk, you can take a local bus from Summer Hill. Head towards the nearest bus stop on the main road and catch a bus heading to Chaura Maidan. The bus ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Alight at the Chaura Maidan stop, and from there, it's a 5-minute walk to the museum. Follow the signage towards Museum Road.
