Car
If you are driving from Gangtok, head east on the NH10 highway from the city center. After approximately 14 km, look for the sign towards Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary. Turn left onto JN Rd (9PGM+MJJ), which will take you directly to the sanctuary entrance. The road is well-maintained, but be aware of the hilly terrain and possible wildlife crossing.
Public Transportation
To reach Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary by public transport from Gangtok, take a shared taxi or local bus from the MG Marg bus stand heading towards Tsomgo Lake or Nathu La. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to the sanctuary entrance, which is usually at the junction of JN Rd. From there, you may need to walk about 1 km to reach the sanctuary gate. Be prepared for a short uphill hike.
Walking
Once you arrive at the entrance of Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary, you can explore the area on foot. There are well-marked trails within the sanctuary that offer stunning views of the surrounding flora and fauna. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry enough water for your hike.
