Splendid immersive travels with Darjeeling Walks

Darjeeling Walks gave me the most magical holiday in a very very long time - curating the perfect itinerary, selecting charming boutique places of stay, and quiet forest walks tailored to what I wanted to do, whilst throwing in a good bit of heritage and the famously charming toy train ride along the way! They exceeded my expectations on every level - right from the first discovery call with Anirban, where I explained what I was looking for - I wanted an immersive, slow holiday, experiencing the tea estate life of an era gone by; and not a busy sightseeing trip - and that is exactly what Anirban and his wonderful team were able to curate and deliver for me! Ankit deserves an outstanding special mention for his attention to detail, his professionalism, his ability to flex the itinerary to suit what I wanted spontaneously (at times), and for offering great insights on the region, the local experiences and for his wonderful company - which I cannot overstate how much I appreciated! As a solo female traveller, he made me feel perfectly safe and yet was ready to engage in conversation, when I wanted. What is especially commendable, is that he was doing all this with a very smiling demeanour, whilst his mother was in hospital. His camaraderie was delightful and I have only the best words for him. The car, guide (I prefer to call him travel buddy) and driver were with me all the way, right from the aiport pick up at Bagdogra, to dropping me back at the airport - with a stay at Kurseong in between (which I had booked independently, long before contacting Darjeeling Walks). Their sense of ownership and responsibility (even when I was independently staying at Kurseong) simply left a lasting impression - especially as I was a solo female traveller. The car that stayed with me throughout from day start to day end - with our very pleasant and expert driver - Nimai - added a layer of familiarity and comfort. The thoughtfully curated forest trails, homestay lunches, tea estate stays, even the meals - were all part of the immersive, curated experience offered to me, as one comprehensive package. This experience will stay indelibly etched in my heart as the most beautiful, thoughtful and warm holiday I have had in a long time! Amazing Sandakphu Trek with Darjeeling Sikkim Experience!

I recently completed the 5-day Sandakphu trek with Darjeeling Sikkim Experience, and it was incredible! The agency was professional from start to finish, with excellent communication and organization. Our guide was knowledgeable, patient, and made sure everyone felt comfortable at every stage of the trek. The views were breathtaking—seeing the entire Himalayan range, including Everest and Kanchenjunga, was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The accommodations were clean and cozy, and the food provided along the route was delicious and energizing. Darjeeling Sikkim Experience made sure we were well-prepared and safe throughout the journey. Highly recommend this agency for anyone looking to explore the Sandakphu trek with a reliable and experienced team!
