Getting There

• By Car

  If you are traveling by car, you can take the NH 44 from major cities in South India like Bangalore or Chennai. From Bangalore, drive approximately 100 km towards Krishnagiri. You will pass through towns like Hosur. Once you reach Krishnagiri, look for signs to New Bus Stand Road. The fort is located near New Housing Unit, Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu 635002. There is no entry fee for the fort, but parking may require a small fee depending on the location.

• By Train

  If you prefer traveling by train, take a train to Krishnagiri Railway Station, which is well connected with major cities. Upon arrival at the station, you can hire an auto-rickshaw or taxi to reach Krishnagiri Fort. The distance from the railway station to the fort is about 6 km, and the fare should be around ₹100-₹150. Make sure to confirm the fare before the ride.

• By Bus

  For those using public transportation, there are regular buses from major cities like Bangalore and Chennai to Krishnagiri. You can board a bus from the respective bus stations. Once you arrive at the Krishnagiri bus stand, the fort is about 2 km away. You can either walk or take a local auto-rickshaw for about ₹30-₹50 to reach the fort.

  If you are at a nearby city like Hosur or Vellore, consider hiring a taxi for direct access to Krishnagiri Fort. The taxi fare from Hosur is approximately ₹700-₹1000 depending on the distance and negotiation. From Vellore, it would be around ₹1200-₹1500.
