Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the nearest major town, Canning. Head southwest on Canning - Basanti Road (NH 117) for approximately 20 km until you reach the Basanti ferry ghat. Park your car in a safe area near the ferry terminal. Take a ferry from Basanti to Sajnekhali, which will take about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive at Sajnekhali, you can walk to the Sajnekhali Watch Tower, located just a short distance from the ferry terminal.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Kolkata to Canning. Buses depart frequently from various bus terminals in Kolkata, and the journey takes approximately 2 hours. From Canning, take an auto-rickshaw to the Basanti ferry ghat, which should cost around INR 50-100. After reaching the ferry terminal, board the ferry to Sajnekhali. The ferry ride will take about 30-45 minutes. Upon arrival in Sajnekhali, the Sajnekhali Watch Tower is within walking distance from the ferry terminal.
