Car

From Kovalam, head south on the NH66 highway towards Kottukal. Continue for approximately 13 km. As you approach Kottukal, look for signs directing you to Azhimala Beach. Turn left onto Adimalathura Road, and follow this road for about 1 km until you reach the beach. Parking is available nearby, but it may incur a small fee of around ₹20.

Public Transportation (Bus)

Board a local bus from the main bus stand in Kovalam heading towards Kottukal. The bus fare will typically be around ₹15. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Adimalathura. Once you reach Adimalathura, it's a short 10-minute walk to Azhimala Beach. Follow the signs towards the beach, and you will arrive shortly.

Taxi or Auto-rickshaw

For a more direct option, you can hire a taxi or an auto-rickshaw from Kovalam. The fare to Azhimala Beach will generally range from ₹300 to ₹500 depending on your bargaining skills and the type of vehicle. The driver will take you along the NH66 and drop you off at the beach entrance, making this a convenient option if you're traveling with luggage or in a group.

Walking

If you are near the Kottukal area, you can walk to Azhimala Beach from the village. Ensure to follow the local paths and ask locals for directions if you're unsure. It’s approximately a 30-minute walk from the center of Kottukal, providing a chance to enjoy the local scenery along the way.
