Public Transportation
From Chennai, take a train to Salem. Trains are frequent and the journey takes about 6-8 hours. Once in Salem, you can catch a bus to Namakkal. Look for buses that go towards Kolli Hills from the Namakkal bus station. Buses to Kolli Hills are available but may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance. The final leg from the Kolli Hill bus stop will require a local taxi or auto-rickshaw to reach Kolli Hill Forest.
