Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start your journey from Dehradun, which is approximately 45 km away from Rishikesh. Take National Highway 7 (NH7) towards Rishikesh. Upon reaching Rishikesh, follow the signs to Swarg Ashram. Once you reach Swarg Ashram, look for parking options available nearby. From the parking area, Ram Jhula is a short walk away, approximately 1 km. Follow the road leading towards the river, and you will see the iconic suspension bridge.

• Bus

  For those using public transportation, take a bus from major cities like Haridwar or Dehradun to Rishikesh. Buses are frequent and cost-effective, with fares generally ranging from INR 50 to INR 200 depending on the distance. Upon arriving at Rishikesh bus station, you can either walk or take a local auto-rickshaw (about INR 30 to INR 50) to Swarg Ashram. Ram Jhula is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus station.

• Train

  If you are traveling by train, the nearest major railway station is in Haridwar. From Haridwar, you can take a taxi or auto-rickshaw to Rishikesh, which is about 25 km away. Taxi fares range from INR 500 to INR 700. Once in Rishikesh, follow the same instructions provided for bus travelers to reach Swarg Ashram and then walk to Ram Jhula.

• Local Transport

  In Rishikesh, local transportation options include auto-rickshaws and cycle-rickshaws. These are available throughout the city and can take you from your accommodation to Swarg Ashram. The fare for auto-rickshaws typically ranges from INR 30 to INR 100 depending on the distance. Once you reach Swarg Ashram, Ram Jhula is a short walk away, so no additional transport is necessary.
