If you are driving, start your journey in Joshimath, which is the nearest town to Valley of Flowers National Park. From Joshimath, take the road towards Govindghat. The distance from Joshimath to Govindghat is approximately 20 km and takes around 30-40 minutes. At Govindghat, you must park your car and take a shared taxi or a local jeep to Ghangaria, the base camp for Valley of Flowers, which is about 14 km away. The taxi ride typically costs around INR 300-400 per person. From Ghangaria, you will need to hike approximately 3 km to reach Chanap Valley Camp Side.

If you are using public transportation, first take a bus or shared taxi from Rishikesh or Haridwar to Joshimath. Upon arriving in Joshimath, you can find shared taxis heading to Govindghat. After reaching Govindghat, you will need to take a local jeep or shared taxi to Ghangaria. Once in Ghangaria, the hike to Chanap Valley Camp Side is about 3 km. Remember that the cost of the jeep from Govindghat to Ghangaria is approximately INR 300-400 per person.
