Road
To reach the Ropeway to Auli, begin your journey to Joshimath, the town where the ropeway station is located. Joshimath is accessible by road from major cities in Uttarakhand, including Rishikesh and Haridwar. From Rishikesh, it is approximately a 9-10 hour drive. You can hire a taxi or take a bus to Joshimath. Once in Joshimath, the ropeway station is located in the heart of the town. From the bus stand or taxi drop-off point, it is a short walk or rickshaw ride to the ropeway station. Taxis and rickshaws are readily available and cost approximately ₹50-₹100 for a short trip within Joshimath.
Cable Car
Upon arrival at the Joshimath ropeway station, purchase your tickets for the Auli Ropeway. A round trip ticket costs ₹1000 for adults and ₹500 for children (below 12 years). The ropeway operates from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but timings may vary depending on weather conditions. After purchasing your tickets, queue for the ropeway. The cable car can carry up to 25 passengers at a time and the ride to Auli takes approximately 25 minutes. Enjoy the scenic ride as you ascend to Auli.
