Walking
From Assi Ghat, head east along the riverbank. Walk along the pathway that runs parallel to the Ganges River. You will pass several small shops and food stalls. After about 10-15 minutes of walking, keep an eye out for a sign directing you to Tulsi Ghat. The path is well-trodden and you will see locals and other tourists making their way to the ghat.
Cycle Rickshaw
If you prefer not to walk, you can hire a cycle rickshaw from Assi Ghat. Simply approach one of the rickshaw drivers near the ghat and tell them you want to go to Tulsi Ghat. The fare should be around ₹30-₹50, depending on your negotiation skills and the time of day. The ride will take approximately 5-10 minutes.
Boat
An alternative and scenic route is to take a boat from Assi Ghat to Tulsi Ghat. Head to the river’s edge and look for boatmen offering rides. Negotiate the fare; it typically ranges from ₹100-₹200 per person for a short ride. This method not only gets you to Tulsi Ghat but also allows you to enjoy the beauty of the river and the ghats from a unique perspective. The boat ride will take about 10 minutes.
