Walking
From Assi Ghat, head north along the riverbank towards the main road. As you walk, you will pass several small shops and food stalls. Continue walking for about 15-20 minutes until you reach the intersection with the main road near Tulsi Ghat. At this intersection, you can see the river on your left.
Walking
At Tulsi Ghat, turn left and continue walking along the main road. You will see signs for Shivala Ghat. Keep an eye on the river as it will be on your left side throughout this leg of the journey. After about 10 minutes, you will arrive at Shivala Ghat, which is a well-known location with a beautiful view of the Ganges and surrounding temples.
Boat
Alternatively, you can take a boat from Assi Ghat to Shivala Ghat. Look for boatmen near the riverbank who are willing to take you across. The boat ride will take approximately 5-10 minutes and the cost usually ranges from ₹50 to ₹100 per person, depending on the boat and the season.
Use Shivala Ghat as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
