Walking
If you are near the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, start by heading east towards the Ganga River. Follow the riverbank north until you reach the Dashashwamedh Ghat. From there, take a boat (which can be hired at the ghat) that goes towards Ramnagar. Inform the boatman that your destination is Ramnagar Fort. The boat ride will take you along the beautiful banks of the Ganges, and you'll be able to see the fort from the river.
Cycle Rickshaw
If you are in the Varanasi city area, you can hire a cycle rickshaw to take you to Ramnagar Fort. Head to a main road and find a rickshaw stand. Tell the rickshaw driver to take you to 'Ramnagar Fort' or provide them with the address: 'Varanasi Rd, Ram nagar, Ramnagar, Uttar Pradesh 221008'. The ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic.
Public Transport (Bus)
Find a local bus that goes towards Ramnagar. You can catch a bus from any major bus stand in Varanasi, such as the Varanasi Cantt Bus Stand. Ask for buses going to Ramnagar and board one. Once you arrive at the Ramnagar bus stop, it’s a short walk to the fort. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Ramnagar Fort.
