Walking
If you're in the main area of Varanasi, start at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. From the temple, head southwest on Vishwanath Gali towards the Ganges river. You will reach the riverbank where you can see the ghats. Continue walking along the river, heading south along the ghats. Follow the river for about 1 km until you see the Dattatreya Math. Scindia Ghat is located next to this math. It’s a beautiful place to watch the Ganges and the daily activities of the locals.
Rickshaw
You can take an auto-rickshaw from any central part of Varanasi. Ask the driver to take you to 'Scindia Ghat' or 'Dattatreya Math'. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic conditions. Once you arrive, you’ll find yourself near the Dattatreya Math, and Scindia Ghat is just a short walk away from there.
Boat
If you are looking for a scenic route, consider taking a boat ride from the Assi Ghat or Dashashwamedh Ghat. Hire a boatman and ask him to take you to Scindia Ghat. This option allows you to enjoy the view of the ghats from the river. Once you reach Scindia Ghat, you can easily disembark and explore the area.
Use Scindia Ghat as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
