If you are driving from Kolkata, head northwest on NH19 towards Bardhaman. The journey is approximately 100 km and takes around 2.5 to 3 hours depending on traffic. Upon approaching Bardhaman, follow the local signs to Bardhaman University, where Hawa Mahal is located. Use the coordinates 23.2560115, 87.8476232 in your GPS for precise navigation. Parking is available near the university.
Train
You can take a train from Howrah or Sealdah station to Bardhaman Junction. Trains run frequently and the journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Bardhaman Junction, you can hire a taxi or take an auto-rickshaw to Bardhaman University. Make sure to show the driver the address: 7R4X+C25, Bardhaman University, Bardhaman, West Bengal 713104. The auto-rickshaw fare should be around INR 50-100.
Bus
Several state-run buses operate from Kolkata to Bardhaman. You can catch a bus from Esplanade or Howrah bus terminals. The journey may take around 3-4 hours depending on traffic. Once you reach Bardhaman bus station, you can take an auto-rickshaw or a taxi to Bardhaman University. The fare for the auto-rickshaw should be around INR 50-100.
Public Transportation (Auto-Rickshaw)
After arriving in Bardhaman by train or bus, you can take an auto-rickshaw directly to Hawa Mahal located within Bardhaman University.
