Car
If you are driving from Vadodara, start on NH48 towards the south. Continue for about 50 km. Upon reaching the town of Champaner, follow the signs to Champaner Fort, which will be on your right. The fort is located approximately 5 km from the town center. Parking is available near the fort entrance. Ensure you have cash for any parking fees, which typically range from 20 to 50 INR.
Public Transportation
From Vadodara, take a local train heading to Champaner or a bus from the Vadodara bus station. Trains are available frequently and take about 1 hour. Buses may take a bit longer, approximately 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Champaner station or bus stop, you can either walk to the fort, which is about 5 km, or hire a local auto-rickshaw for around 100 INR to reach the fort entrance.
Auto-Rickshaw
If you are in the nearby towns of Pavagadh or Halol, you can hire an auto-rickshaw that will take you directly to Champaner Fort. The distance is around 5 to 10 km depending on your starting point, and the fare will typically range from 150 to 250 INR. It is advisable to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
