Getting There

• Walking

  If you're in downtown Elkhart, start at the intersection of Main Street and Franklin Street. Head north on Main Street for about 0.5 miles. You'll pass several shops and cafes on your left and right. Continue straight until you reach 1011 N Main St, where Wellfield Botanic Gardens is located on your left. The entrance is clearly marked, and you should see beautiful landscaping as you approach.

• Bicycling

  Begin at the Elkhart Riverwalk, which is a lovely path along the river. Follow the river north until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street and continue north for about 0.3 miles. Wellfield Botanic Gardens will be on your left at 1011 N Main St. Make sure to be cautious of traffic as you approach the garden entrance.

• Public Transportation

  Check the local bus schedule for the Elkhart Transit System. You can board a bus heading north on Main Street. Look for routes that stop near Main St and Beardsley Ave. Get off at the closest stop to the Wellfield Botanic Gardens. From the bus stop, walk north on Main Street for a short distance (about 0.2 miles) until you reach the entrance at 1011 N Main St.
