From Fishers, head to the nearest bus stop for the IndyGo Route 8 at 116th St & Lantern Rd. Board the bus towards downtown Indianapolis. Stay on the bus for approximately 30-35 minutes, and get off at the stop at W Washington St & S West St. From there, walk west on W Washington St for about 10 minutes until you reach the Indianapolis Zoo located at 1200 W Washington St.

If you prefer to bike, rent a bike from a local rental service in Fishers. Head south on Lantern Rd from Fishers, and follow the path to 116th St, then continue south until you reach 96th St. Turn left on 96th St and follow the bike lanes south. When you reach the White River, follow the path along the river until you merge onto W Washington St. Continue until you arrive at the Indianapolis Zoo at 1200 W Washington St.

If you're up for a long walk, start at the Fishers City Hall. Head south on Municipal Dr, then turn left onto 116th St. Walk along 116th St until you reach Lantern Rd, then turn right and continue south.
