    From downtown Gary, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at 5th Avenue and Broadway. Take the Gary Public Transit Bus Route 3 towards the East Chicago area. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at the Gary Metro Center. From there, transfer to the South Shore Line train heading towards Chicago. After approximately a 30-minute ride, disembark at the Millennium Station in Chicago. Once you exit the station, head southeast on East Randolph Street, then turn right onto South State Street. Continue walking until you reach West Washington Street. The Christkindlmarket will be located at 50 W Washington St on your left.

    Public Transit - Train

    Start at the Gary Metro Center. Purchase a ticket for the South Shore Line train heading to Chicago. Board the train and enjoy the scenic ride for about 30 minutes. Get off at Millennium Station in Chicago. After exiting the station, walk southeast on East Randolph Street, then turn right onto South State Street.
