Getting There

• Public Transit - Bus

  From downtown Gary, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at 5th Avenue and Broadway. Take the Gary Public Transit Bus Route 3 towards the East Chicago area. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at the Gary Metro Center. From there, transfer to the South Shore Line train heading towards Chicago. After approximately a 30-minute ride, disembark at the Millennium Station in Chicago. Once you exit the station, head southeast on East Randolph Street, then turn right onto South State Street. Continue walking until you reach West Washington Street. The Christkindlmarket will be located at 50 W Washington St on your left.

  Start at the Gary Metro Center. Purchase a ticket for the South Shore Line train heading to Chicago. Board the train and enjoy the scenic ride for about 30 minutes. Get off at Millennium Station in Chicago. After exiting the station, walk southeast on East Randolph Street, then turn right onto South State Street. Continue until you reach West Washington Street, where you will find the Christkindlmarket at 50 W Washington St.

• Walking

  If you're already in a central area of Gary, you can walk to the Gary Metro Center, which is about a 15-minute walk from most downtown locations. Once there, take the South Shore Line train to Millennium Station in Chicago. After arriving, walk southeast on East Randolph Street, turn right onto South State Street, and follow it until you reach West Washington Street where the Christkindlmarket is located at 50 W Washington St.
